Nothing more frustrating than a weak magnetic holder that has the bit coming out all the time especially on a large drywall job. You need to understand what you are buying. This holder is supposed to be very tight and use only small drywall screwgun bits that you need pliers to remove sometimes, but it is what it is designed for. Excellent on impact drivers too but it is not for tool free bit changes.

There are no tabs to trap bits in theirs (truly magnetic and not compression). The metal tab along the top inside edge of the holder trapped several bits but I had always managed to get them out. I had lost the magnetic bit holder that came with the B&D set I had. Period. Pass on it. Find another one. Fortunately, I found it again. I could not get it out.

Not this time. B&D even. It was great when I first got it. Because this holder trapped a bit and would not release it. I put it in a bench vice and used every handtool known to man and it would not budge.

It's a simple tool and it works but it holds the bit too tightly. It's a struggle to get the bit back out.
